Individual Therapy

Our counseling services help individuals, couples and families navigate through complex living issues that can cause major disruptions in their day-to-day lives. It is our goal to help clients improve their understanding of themselves and their circumstances, and gain independence in their thoughts and abilities. We aim to assist our clients in cultivating more acceptance, love, and strength to live a more fulfilling, deliberate and meaningful life.

Psychotherapy

We create a safe place for you to explore your inner thoughts and feelings freely in a nonjudgmental space. Our person-centered approach is collaborative and focused entirely on your individual needs. We emphasize using a collection of different empirically valid strategies and implementations to provide you with all the necessary tools to increase your resiliency.

Our clinicians use different modalities and interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Play Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Contemporary Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Many of our clinicians at WCW offer various forms of Expressive Arts Therapy. Expressive Arts Therapy employs the use of creative arts during a session. Rather than focusing on the “end product,” the process of creation is emphasized. With this unique approach, clients are able to gain different perspectives, breakthrough limiting patterns, and express themselves creatively. Expressive Arts Therapy focuses on the value of self-expression and self-discovery without the limitation of judgment.

Mindfulness

At WCW, we aim to take a holistic approach in therapy. We believe that by implementing a focus on the mind-body-spirit connection, we can support our clients in actualizing potential in all realms of life.  Through this collaborative approach, our treatment includes mindfulness and meditation practices that tap into our innate healing power and resiliency. We also offer individual meditation sessions with our meditation specialist Sabrina Eichin upon request.

Nature Informed Therapy

Our Nature Informed specialist Michael Grassa integrates the healing properties of the natural world into mental health treatment. Many years of research have shown overwhelming support for the health benefits of spending time in the nature. Taking therapy goals into an outdoor environment can significantly augment and amplify the therapeutic process. Many of our therapists can also include a “walk and talk” element into a traditional office visit.
