Katie Drapkin is a dedicated clinician with a profound commitment to offering compassionate support to children, adolescents, and adults. Katie’s training includes a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College and three years of work with clients of varying backgrounds in various settings. Katie has delivered school- and community-based mental health services, where she worked closely with children and their families to address complex trauma histories and unlock their potential for positive growth and progress. These diverse experiences have equipped her with a broad toolkit to address each client’s unique needs.
Katie employs a person-centered, empathic approach to therapy, striving to create a safe and trusting space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and struggles. Her work is fueled by a commitment to helping individuals repair relationships, build confidence, and navigate life's obstacles.
When working with younger clients, Katie integrates play therapy, offering an engaging and familiar environment for children to explore their inner worlds and emotions. Additionally, she draws from Relational Cultural Theory, Ecosystemic Family Therapy, and Person-Centered Approaches to support clients effectively.
Katie finds great fulfillment in helping her clients through relational difficulties, whether at home or in the community, and guiding them toward greater resilience and self-awareness. Her ultimate goal is to empower clients to realize their full potential and achieve their personal goals.
In her free time, Katie enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her family.
