Elie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist who received her masters in Counseling from Lesley University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. Elie supports adults and children struggling with a variety of diagnoses, and believes everyone deserves support in their mental health journey regardless of where they come from. Her specialties include treating ADHD, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, PTSD, and family/peer conflict. She makes sure to support all her clients in learning healthy ways to communicate and cope with life’s stressors.
Elie is trauma-focused and incorporates Art Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction into her practice. She helps clients to challenge reoccurring negative thoughts, and recognize how thoughts, feelings and behaviors influence each other. Elie brings a grounding presence, creativity, and a sense of humor into her therapy sessions. She can also speak and write in 4 languages which includes Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese, Spanish & English.
In her free time, Elie enjoys eating sweets, especially chocolate, baking, and visiting museums. Elie is also a graphic designer and illustrator.
