Dr. Hannah Miles is a pre-licensed Clinical Psychologist that works with a diverse array of adults, presenting with difficult stressors and complex life issues. She specializes in providing person-centered, evidence-based psychotherapy from a variety of different methodologies, working with each client to customize therapy to their individual needs. Dr. Miles has worked and trained in many settings throughout her career, including inpatient hospitals, family medicine, community counseling centers and the VA. She specializes in treating trauma and PTSD, addictions, identity and relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety and depression.
Dr. Miles values the therapeutic relationship as the heart of all good therapy, and is committed to partnering with clients to build their life worth living. Her style is warm and empathetic, making space for the humor that often accompanies vulnerability and life changes. Dr. Miles is Integrative in her theoretical practice, often incorporating skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Relational Psychodynamics. For clients looking to heal and compassionately understand past traumas, Dr. Miles often includes Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Internal Family Systems in her offerings.
Dr. Miles is originally from Merrimac, Massachusetts and earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her postgraduate clinical training consists of both a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, California. Her research and clinical interests include the intersections of trauma, identity and relationship; seeking to understand what forces shape us into the people we become and how to best take back the power in our own lives. Dr. Miles also provides professional training on identity issues including race, gender, and sexuality.
